Louie Daniel Brown

Louie Daniel Brown, 62, formerly known as Louis Dale Brown, died in his sleep on November 20, 2010 in Charlotte, NC. He was born May 20, 1948 in Mecklenburg County, the youngest child of the late William Herbert Brown and Helen Davis Brown of Huntersville, NC. Lou is survived by his sister Helen Davis Brown, PhD of Morrow, GA, his brothers, W. Herbert Brown, Jr. (Keris) of Charlotte and John W. Brown (Linda) of Chesnee SC. He loved his friends and the staff members who cared for him though the years at Residential and Support Services (now InReach), Hunter Village in Huntersville and Elizabethan Gardens in Monroe. Lou, who loved being called Lou Dan, enjoyed leather craft, woodworking, smoke breaks and writing letters to famous people such as President Reagan, Matt Dillon and Festus. He never missed the daily broadcasts of Channel Nine News. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date at Independence Hill Baptist Church Huntersville, NC Memorials may be made to Elizabethan Gardens Assisted Living, 1812 New Town Road, Monroe, NC 28110 (for Residents Fund).
