Louellen Andrews Brooks

Mrs. Louellen Lucy Andrews Brooks, 64, of Huntersville, NC was called home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her husband of 38 years, Donald C. Brooks, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 27, 2011. She was born August 17, 1946 in Mecklenburg County. Over the years Lucy worked at a variety of trade jobs and was good at all of them, but her most rewarding work was being caregiver and Granny to the many children she cared for through the years.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 30 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Roach officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment at the convenience of the family will be at Northlake Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her four children; Chester Brooks and wife Jackie of Gastonia, Ruby Hubbard and husband Alex of Lincolnton, Ellen Stowers and husband Brian of Tullahoma, TN, Donnie Brooks of Crouse ; her sister Joanne Jones of Douglassville, Ga; and three grandchildren; Brianna Stowers, Wayne Stowers and Nathan Hubbard.
