Mrs. Lois DuBois, age 101, of Huntersville, NC originally of Kenton, Ohio , passed away on Sunday April 14, 2013 in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. DuBois was born on November 8, 1911, the daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Smith. She was the wife of the late E. M. DuBois.. She was preceded in death by brothers Warren and Paul Smith. Mrs. Dubois was born and raised in Kenton, OH and lived for many years in Columbus, OH where she met her husband, Dewey. She was a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education and was a teacher in Columbus Ohio. Mrs. DuBois served as secretary and treasurer of Spectrochemical Laboratories in Pittsburgh, PA, where her husband was President and Chairman of the Board. A funeral mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 16, 2013 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 14740 Stumptown Road Huntersville, NC 28078 (704) 948-023. Relatives and friends can meet with the family one hour before the Mass. Friends and family will meet at Wylie Funeral Home, Penn Hill, PA at 1:00 p.m. Friday April19, 2013 for a brief religious ceremony prior to the service at the cemetery. She will be buried at Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough, PA next to her husband Survivors are her son, Steven DuBois and his wife, Andee of State College, PA, daughter Marjorie Hunter and her husband W. James of Pittsburgh, PA and daughter Ellen Ason and her husband John of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren Steven DuBois, Christine Vittorio, Stacey DuBois, Jeffrey Ason, Wyatt DuBois and Alexis Schierman and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent in her name to St. Mark Catholic Church,14740 Stumptown Road Huntersville, NC 28078 (704) 948-0231. The family has entrusted the arrangements and care to Raymer -Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Friends may offer condolences to the family at www.raymerfh.com.
