Lois Cox

Lois Parker Cox, 95, of Charlotte, NC passed away on November 9, 2016.

A native to Charlotte she was born on January 2, 1921 to the late William Agustus Parker and Mary Ella Roberts Parker.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William David Cox, Jr.; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Lois is survived by her son, William “Billy” David Cox III; daughter, Linda Barbee and husband Don; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Lois was a graduate in 1938 of Lowell High School. She later became a beautician for 10 years and owned her own shop. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, President of PTA for 3 years; and was also a member of Cook’s Memorial Church for 60 years.   Lois also loved camping with her family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will follow the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will be private.
