Lloyd H. Jetton

Lloyd Hugh Jetton, 92, of Cornelius, NC passed away Friday February 8, 2013 at the Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Hugh was born December 28, 1920 in Mecklenburg County to the late Francis and Bettie Christenbury Jetton. Hugh graduated from the Cornelius High School Class of 1940. He served on the Civil Defense Patrol. Hugh was retired from the Pritchard Paint & Glass, where he sold Benjamin Moore Paints for over 40 years. He was a kind man and completely devoted to his family. He enjoyed gardening and working on various projects in his shop. Hugh was married to the love of his life, the late Florence Pangle Jetton, for over 45 years. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his son John Alfred Jetton, brothers, Sidney Lewis Jetton, and James Jetton. Hugh leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Melanie (David) Jetton Bookout of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Joshua A. Jetton of Walhalla, SC; Katie (Brent) Bookout Hudson of Salisbury, NC; Jeremy (Karis) A. Jetton of Walhalla, SC; great grandchildren, John Acree Jetton, Kade Sheriff , Ashlynn Sheriff, and one sister Betty Jetton Liffrig. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Cain and Rev. Dee Dee Wayland officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 until the time of service at 2:00.
