Mr. Linnie Ross Suddreth, 71, of Iron Station, NC died October 25, 2012 at his home. Born October 7, 1941 in Greensboro, NC he was a son of the late Wade Dean Suddreth and Frances Baynes Suddreth. Mr. Suddreth was a veteran of the US Marines where he received the Good Conduct Medal and prior to his retirement in 2009, he was the owner of L & P Towing Service. He enjoyed camping, golfing, flying airplanes and spending time with family and friends Services will be private. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Pat. In addition, Linnie leaves his stepson Andy Hartness and wife Karen of Concord; sister, Pat Kirkman and husband Vance of Greensboro; four children, Amy, Melinda, Michael and Jake, and many close dear friends and family. The Suddreth family extends a special thank you to the many caregivers with Hospice of Lincoln County and Dr. William Mitchell and his staff of Southern Oncology Specialists for the kindness and excellent care given Mr. Suddreth during his 10 year struggle with cancer.. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
