Linda Joan Greishaw McKowan

Linda Joan McKowan, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Linda was born on April 16, 1947 to Clarence and Edna Greishaw in Union City, Pennsylvania. She moved to Buffalo, New York in 1965, where she attended Bryant & Stratton College and led the fight for female access to typewriting classes.
Linda married Dennis McKowan in 1969, and with him, she had two children: Jennifer and Daniel. Linda worked faithfully at her husband’s TV repair enterprise and as a stay-at-home mother, eventually receiving employment at Ingram Micro after his death in 2002. She left Ingram Micro to be a nanny for her grandson, fulfilling her lifetime commitment to caring for her family.
She moved with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson to North Carolina one week ago.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hurley Jackmore (Mark); her son, Daniel McKowan (Kelli); her brother, Edward Greishaw; her grandson, Declan; her stepchildren, Dennis and Linda; six step-grandchildren; caring friends; and a large, loving clan.
