Leonard Clontz Knox, Jr

Mr. Leonard Clontz Knox, Jr, 61 of Cornelius, NC died Thursday January 17, 2013 at CMC-Mercy. Born November 10, 1951 in Mecklenburg County he was a son of the late Leonard Clontz Knox, Sr and Helen Hager Knox. Leonard was a US Air Force Veteran and employed with IBM as a computer programmer. For many years he was the coach of the "Wildcats" and "Dirt Devils" girl's softball teams in Cornelius. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. J.E. Wayland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. A loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend, he leaves to cherish his memory his son, Wesley Knox of Cornelius; daughter, Carrie Lail of Mooresville; grandsons, Zack and Nick Lail; extended family, Trina Knox, Kathy Knox, Kristen Knox and Mark Robbins and numerous friends.
