Lee Allen Mitchell

Lee Allen Mitchell, 80, of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away May 26, 2019.

He was born May 13, 1939 to the late Eldon Mitchell and Annetta Wilde Mitchell in Madelia, Minnesota.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Teague, and brother, Ralph Mitchell.

Lee is survived by his wife, Beverly Mitchell; daughter, Leanne Wright; son, Kevin Mitchell; grandchildren, Courtney Wright, Erin Wright, Garrett Wright, Maddie Mitchell, and Cam Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Sandra Kearns (Mark).

Mr. Mitchell graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He served as a Presbyterian minister for 8 years and finished his career as a customer service manager for an automobile dealership.  He loved music, especially singing in a choir.  He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and photography.  He found joy in being active in the lives of his grandchildren and taking part in their activities.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Davidson College Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends following the service at the Congregation House on Concord Road.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lee’s honor to the music program at Davidson College Presbyterian Church or to the charity of the donors choice.
