"Red" Lawrence Carroll Moore, 89, of Huntersville, NC saw his sweet Savior face to face on Wednesday September 18, 2013. Waiting for him in Glory was his sweetheart of 61 years Marjorie "Rastus" Moore. He was also embraced by his parents Earl and Stella Moore, three siblings, and countless close friends. He is survived by his son Stephen Moore and wife Lisa from Cary NC; daughter Carol Lesley and husband David from Salisbury NC; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Katie King from Elon NC. "Red" lived a full and blessed life. He received his Eagle Scout, was a tech sergeant for the 727th bombardment squadron in World War II, had a green thumb that loved growing his garden and mowing his grass, spent hours relaxing in his hammock with a baby on his chest, and cooked countless fish fries at his church Mt. Zion. "Red" was always known as having a servant's heart, always looking for opportunities to give of himself and lend a hand. Not a single person walked into his home without feeling completely loved and like family. A viewing will be held on Sunday September 22nd from 6-8pm at Raymer Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville NC. A celebration of his life will be at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00am in Cornelius NC with the burial following at Burchwood Cemetery at 4:00pm in Roxboro NC. ....
