Laura Phyllis Corken Woods

Laura Phyllis "Nana" Corken Woods, 98, of Cornelius, NC, passed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 4, 2014. Phyllis was born May 28, 1916 in Burlington Junction , a small farm community in northwest Missouri. She married Oran Woods in 1934. Those who passed before her were her husband Oran, son Leon, sisters, Helen and Kathlene. She is survived by her son, Ron and his wife Grace, grandson Kyle, granddaughter Tammy and her husband Kevin, grandson Kevin and his wife Lisa. Nana, as she was known by her family, had seven great grandchildren, Jake, Rachel, Kara, Marissa, Ava, Alex and Caden. She was a blessed soul and her family and friends feel honored to have had her in their lives. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday June 6, 2014 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday June 7, 2014 at 2 pm at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
