Larry Glenn Jordan Sr.

Larry Glenn Jordan Sr. 69 of Charlotte entered Heaven on Friday, August 5, 2011. He was at home with his wife and son by his side. The Lord couldnt wait any longer so he opened up the gates and took his angel home. We will miss you, but know we will see you again some day. Larry was born on February 24, 1942, in China Grove, NC to the late Deward Jordan and Izoria Billings Jordan. He was a member of the Derita Mason Lodge # 715 and was in the Trucking Business for over 30 years. Larry loved his family and was a man of his word. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and going to the beach. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his faihful dog Snuggles. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Larenne McKay Jordan; daughter, Sherry Jordan Lane and husband Howard of Denver, NC; son, Larry Glenn Jordan II of Charlotte; brother, Stephen Jordan and wife Eva of Mooresville, NC; granddaughter, Kelley Michelle Clayton of Denver, NC; along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Helms and Rev. Earl Helms officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give a special thank you to RAI care centers for their excellent care for Mr. Jordan.
