Lander "Lanny" Herbert Bustle, Jr.

Lander “Lanny” Herbert Bustle, Jr., 70 of Cornelius, NC passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence.  He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw.  The visitation will be held at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home on Sunday January 31, 2016 from 6-8pm.  Celebration of his life will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2pm.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery followed by a reception at the church Family Life Center. 

Lanny was born in Charlotte, NC on July 14, 1945.  He was the only child of Lan and Moree Cook Bustle.  He grew up in Longcreek and graduated from North Mecklenburg High.  He retired from the City of Charlotte Fire Department.  His love for rodeo brought him to winning the 1964 Steer Wrestling Championship.  In his later years he enjoyed helping the younger generation participate in their love for rodeo.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Cadieu Bustle; daughter, Ashley Bustle McGee (Ken); son, Lanny Bustle (Charna); nine grandchildren; four great grandsons.
