Lana Kay Simcox

August 12, 1966 — December 16, 2020

Elleana (Lana) Simcox, 54, left her earthly body to obtain her Heavenly body with Jesus Christ her Savior on Wednesday December 16th, 2020. She made the transition peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, and with her family at her side. She was born in Bedford, PA on August 12th, 1966. Daughter of the late Lester Henry and Betty Hann Henry.

Lana graduated from Bedford Area High School in 1984, where she was a member of the flags department, in the high school band. In 1985 she graduated from Cumberland School of Cosmetology and for a time worked at Head Quarters Salon in Cumberland, MD. She then moved to Wilmington, NC  where she managed two hair salons. Later she relocated to West Palm Beach, FL where she was employed by PGA of America.

She was united in marriage to Charles (Chuck) Simcox on October 4th, 2003 in Margate, FL. In 2004 they moved to North Carolina. She is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck and her loving daughter, Caitlin; her mother, Betty Henry of Centerville, PA; brother, James Henry and wife Maggie of Media, PA; and sister, Melanie Solomon and husband Wes of Brunswick, GA. Also surviving her are nieces and nephews Zach Hamby, Maddison Solomon-Bibby and husband Matt, Abby Henry, Hunter Solomon, and Lily Henry. She is also survived by her very special father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and JoAnn Simcox of Denver, NC.

She attended Lake Norman Baptist Church, Huntersville, NC where she taught Sunday School and was an AWANA Leader. Lana will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She made many trips to Centerville, where she grew up, to visit her parents. She was always ready to help people and did it with many beautiful things she would make to give away.

Friends and family will be received for a memorial service on Monday December 21, 2020, 2:00 PM at Lake Norman Baptist Church, with Dr. Bobby Blanton officiating.
