Kress N. Sherrill

Kress Newton Sherrill, 89 of Mooresville, NC passed away on August 6th, 2017.  He was born on March 2, 1928 to the late Guy Newton and Lillie Thompson Sherrill.  Kress served in the US Navy for 8 years.  He also was a salesman for Jordan Graphics until his retirement in 1989. Kress was active in his church and enjoyed time at Sunset Beach, playing cards with friends and spending time with his 5 grandchildren.

Kress is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan Church Sherrill.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Hal Sherrill, Rick Wagner and Kirk Sherrill and his sisters Suma Sherrill West and Sara Sherrill Thompson.  He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brothers Kemp, Kermit, Keith and Kara Click Sherrill.

A celebration of his life will be held at Fieldstone Presbyterian Church in Mooresville, NC at 11am on Thursday August 10th.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11am prior to the service.  Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC is handling the arrangements.
