Kenneth Francis Swann

Kenneth "Kenny" Francis Swann, 93 years old peacefully passed away in Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 to begin his new life with his Heavenly Father. He was born to Phillip and Viola Swann on October 12, 1920, in Washington D.C. Ken served in the Army during WWII for 4 years and worked for IBM for 41 years. One of Kenny's greatest accomplishments was his Catholic Christian family of 9 kids and his wonderful wife Elizabeth (Finnegan) Swann of 54 years. Kenny loved his family, his beach house, crabbing, fishing, boxing and his vegetable and flower gardens. He built 2 houses for his family - he was very gifted with his hands. Kenny is survived by his daughter in-law, Donna wife of Tim, Chris and wife Karen, Denise, Terri and husband Jim, Russell and wife Jo, Geri and husband Dana, and Kenny, in addition twelve grandchildren; Danielle, Jackie, TJ (wife Mariana), Keith (wife Angela), Brian, Ashley, Laura, Regina, Kelly, JB, Lauren and Evan, and six great-grandchildren; David, Micah, Mark, Kayla, Leyla, and Nicholas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty; brothers Lawrence, Tony, Phil, Martin; sister Regina; and children Tim, Sonny, and Susan. A Memorial Service will be Monday February 3rd, at St. John's Catholic Church 8908 Old Branch Avenue, Clinton, MD 20735 at 10:30am. There will be a celebration reception at the church as well. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive,Huntersville, NC 28078.
