Katie Ann Flavin Clark, 45, passed away on January 11, 2024 after a brief illness. She died peacefully at Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC, surrounded by her family.
Katie was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, the daughter of Richard J. and the late Eleanor E. Flavin. She attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated as an honor student in 1996. She attended and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. She worked in several accounting firms in Massachusetts and North Carolina.
Katie moved to North Carolina in 2007 where she married her husband, James Clark of Mooresville, NC.
In addition to her husband, Katie is survived by her two children, Ella and Evan Clark of Mooresville, NC; her father, Richard Flavin of Cornelius, NC; sister, Colleen and her husband Adam Theriault of Danvers, MA; brothers, Patrick Flavin and wife Kim of Gainesville, GA and Daniel Flavin and wife Jane of Connecticut; aunt Beverly Daggett of Beverly, MA; her in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Steven Gay of Cornelius, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville. Funeral services, conducted by Deacon Rich McCarron, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 also at the funeral home. Interment at Northlake Memorial Gardens will take place following the funeral service.
