Katie Marie Caldwell

Katie Marie Caldwell passed away on July 5, 2018 in Huntersville, NC. She was born January 20, 1933 to the late Estel and Jenny Halsey in Sparta, NC.

Katie graduated from Piney Creek High School and later became co-owner and office manager of H.J. Caldwell Electric Co.

Katie is survived by her son J.K. Caldwell (Jane) of Crumpler, NC; daughter Nancy Helderman (Rick) of Alexis, NC; son David Caldwell (Lori) of Denver, NC; grandchildren Frank, Sydney, Molly, Stacy, and Marsha; and great grandchildren Katelyn, Kara, Payton, Tyler, and Lilly.

Along with her parents, Katie is preceded in death by her husband Herbert J. Caldwell and sister, Helen Jackson.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 7:00-9:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, located at 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Hwy, Mt Holly, NC 28120.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice in appreciation for their ongoing care for patients such as Katie. Also, the family would like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses and staff at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center for their above and beyond care given to our family and our loved one.
