Kathryn Marie Spetrino

Kathryn Marie Spetrino, 75, of Huntersville, NC passed away on November 21, 2020 surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Spetrino was born in Latrobe, PA to the late Richard and Kathryn Humes.  Along with her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Humes, III.

She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-n-law, Wendy and Ben Cortina of Huntersville, NC and sister Jeanne VanSciver of Darien, CT ; and her two nieces & two nephews.

Kathryn a former resident of Stratford, CT served the Bridgeport and Fairfield areas as an RN before retiring after 25+ years from Visiting Nurse Services of CT. She loved her job and treasured her friendships she developed over her lifetime. She also served as the Vice President of her home owners association and President of her nurses union. She was a woman who made her own path in life.and fashion was her passion.  She loved to shop for clothes and shoes and was an avid reader.  Her favorite past times where visiting the ocean and traveling to NYC enjoying art, music an especially the jazz clubs and fine dining.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Services will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
