Karen Hope Pollock

Karen Hope Pollock, 68, of Charlotte, NC died Saturday August 31, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center. Born June 25, 1945 in Sharon, PA she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Marie Kosiorek Pollock. Karen lived in Sharon most of her life and graduated from Sharon High School in 1963. In 2000, Karen retired after 26 years of service as a switchboard operator at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and moved to Charlotte to spend time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Marcia May; brother, Keith Pollock; daughter, Tina Rispinto; sons, Robert, Raymond and Ryan Nicastro; grandchildren, Jessica Holdren, Vinni Rispinto, Emily, Julian, Olivia, Alia and Reese Nicastro and great granddaughter, Rayne Hope Rudisell. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
