Julie Wilson Wallace, age 47, of Cornelius, North Carolina passed away Saturday morning March 16, 2019. Julie was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on January 8, 1972. She graduated from Asheboro High School and continued her education in nursing, receiving her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and her masters’ degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She culminated her education by receiving her Nurse Practitioner’s License from the state of North Carolina.
Upon receiving her masters’ degree, Julie worked in the healthcare field for over two decades, serving as a registered nurse, as a pharmaceutical sales representative and field trainer for Merck Pharmaceutical, and as a nurse practitioner providing vital care and loving bedside manners to multiple nursing homes and acute care providers. In addition to providing loving care to thousands of patients over her healthcare career, she enjoyed watching all sports – particularly those of the UNC Tar Heels, the Carolina Panthers, and most importantly the games played by the love of her life – her son Brennen.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC (16901 Old Statesville Road) starting at 1:00 PM with a visitation with family and friends immediately followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. Following the funeral service, the family will welcome all family and friends of Julie’s for a celebration of life event at the Yaudes Residence - 18934 Balmore Pines Lane, Cornelius, NC.
Julie will forever be loved by those of us that she left behind. She is survived by her son Joseph Brennen Wallace of Davidson, NC, her parents Poppy and Mike Clark of Wilmington, NC, her father and stepmother Neill and Susan Wilson of Clemmons, NC, her sister Jenny Yaudes and brother-in-law Jason Yaudes of Cornelius, NC, her sister Lauren Bollinger and brother-in-law Tripp Bollinger also of Wilmington, NC, her brother Brian Clark and sister-in-law Ashley Clark of Winston-Salem, NC and much loved nieces and nephews Grayson, Kaylee, Kamryn and Banks.
Julie is preceded in death by her grandparents Ed and Ruth Lasley, Robert and Lydia Clark, and Kenneth and Evelyn Wilson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the National Alliance on Mental Illness – Charlotte Chapter in Julie’s name (mailing address: 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204; website: namicharlotte.org).
