Julia Theresa Maziarz Pliska

Julia Theresa Maziarz Pliska, 95, of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday April 2, 2014. Julia was born September 1, 1918 in Utica, NY to the late Martin and Sofia Trestka Maziarz. Julia was married to the late John Joseph Pliska. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, two sisters and one brother. Julia leaves to cherish her memory; sons, James "Jim" Pliska and wife Ann of Huntersville, John Pliska and his wife Taki of Japan; brother, John Maziarz of New York; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, daughter in law, Maquerite Pliska, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday April 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Huntersville. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Cornelius.
