Judith Ann Doane Kennedy

 Judi was born in Lynn, MA on June 11, 1949 to the late Joseph H. Doane and Phyllis Vickerson Doane. She was raised in Swampscott, MA and lived most of her life in Beverly, MA before relocating to North Carolina to be near her daughter in 2019.

 Judi graduated from Swampscott High School in 1966. She earned her nursing degree at the Beverly Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1968, where she was Vice President of her class. She was a dedicated nurse at Garden City Pediatrics in Beverly for many years.  It was not uncommon for her patients to bump into her while out in the community. They would seek her out and always stop her to say hello. She ultimately worked at Lahey Clinic in Ipswich and Beverly, from where she retired in 2019.

 Judi loved to knit and crochet. If someone mentioned they needed an afghan or scarf, she’d whip one up in no time! She loved to play cards, watch game shows and Dateline murder mysteries. Most of all, she loved her family and would have sacrificed anything for them. She will be deeply missed.

 Judi is survived by her beloved daughter, Sharon Mucci, and her husband Richard of Cornelius, NC.  Three grandchildren, Christopher Girard of Hudson, NH, Brandon Girard of Concord, NC and Gabriella Mucci of Cornelius, NC. and one brother, Joseph Doane of Lynn, MA.  Judi is preceded in death by her aunt, Frances Moley. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date not yet determined.
