The legacy of Juan Franceschi began in the home of Juan Sr. and Sarah Franceschi. Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, on December 7, 1958, alongside his beloved five siblings. Juan was a resilient man who loved his family with a blind passion. Following his dream of entering the U.S. military, on August 23rd, 1978, he began his sixteen-year military career, most of which as a Green Beret. Quickly rising up and specializing as a Special Operations Weapons Sargent and a proud Parachutist, Juan took on various overseas missions until his retirement December 31st, 1994.
On November 19th, 2018, Juan Franceschi passed in home in the company of his wife and youngest son. Juan is survived by his beloved wife Doralice Franceschi and his seven children: Jakob, Joani, Derek, Cristian, Juan Jr., Michelle, and Liz Mary.
Juan will always be remembered as a man with dreams, who strived for them with an unmatched resilience. He instilled that same quality of resilience in his children that he was so proud of. His wife of 25 years Doralice Franceschi, was the rock he grounded himself on and sought his strength throughout all those years of marriage. After retirement, Juan’s passion for the military continued throughout his entrepreneurial career as a security advisor and specialist. He was truly a brilliant and dedicated man throughout his entire life. Though he was a man of few words, he left a profound mark on all those who were lucky enough to know him. Juan Franceschi was a soldier, son, brother, husband, father, and friend that will be always remembered.
