Joseph Todd Hubbard, 91, of Harrisburg NC passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Tucker Hospice House of Cabarrus County. He was born in Mecklenburg County to James and Mary Grier Hubbard. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for 37 years, the highlight of which was years as a railway postal clerk. He served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Joe enjoyed gardening and designed, helped build, and finished five family homes. He especially loved spending time with his family and enjoyed their vacation home in Linville Land Harbor tremendously. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry, Thomas, Bob and Ben; and sister, Louise Sills. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Margaret; daughters, Carol Hubbard of Mars Hill, NC and Janet Esposito of Sydney, Australia and son, Mark Hubbard and his wife, Kim of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Matthew Todd, Michelle Renee, and Michael Joseph Hubbard, and Bradley Joseph Esposito; great granddaughter, Waelynn Renee Hardee; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville with Rev. Earl Linderman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 -12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Gilead ARP Church Cemetery.
