Joseph Davidson, Jr., 69, of Davidson, NC passed away on June 21, 2017.

Joe was born in St Louis, MO and spent his childhood in Carrolton, IL. He was a graduate of the University of Miami and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois. His Career began working as a Psychologist in Florida and later in Illinois. He spent much of his career as a Corporate Human Resources Specialist. Joe most recently served as a consulting partner in the Nick Price and Associates firm in Atlanta. He played Varsity Sports in school and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinal and Miami Hurricanes.

Joe especially enjoyed reading and studying history, including visiting historic sites. Throughout his life he was involved in politics, working in many political campaigns. He remained interested in politics and current events throughout his life. Joe was a kind, caring man of his convictions.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Van Lake Davidson, son, Curtis Day of Waukegan, IL, daughters: Jennifer Day of Denver, NC and Kelly Day Camara of San Diego, CA. Beloved grandchildren: Jeremy Day, CJ Camara, Taylor and Stephanie Day, sister Christine Sillery- Russ of Troy, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Jonahville AME Zion Church, Huntersville, NC.
