Johnnie Agnes Sisk

Johnnie Agnes Sisk, 86 of 157 Prestwood Lane, Mooresville, North Carolina, formerly of 315 Church Street, Spindale , NC passed away peacefully on July 5, 2011 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC. Born on August 6, 1924, in Ellenboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Goforth Spurlin and Lina Turner Spurlin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Griffin Sisk and two brothers, Robert Spurlin and Ned Spurlin. She is survived by a daughter, Linda S. Gould and husband, Douglas, of Mooresville; a son, Douglas Sisk and wife, Donna, of Shelby; three sisters, Jenny Cole of Rutherfordton, Jean Bowman and husband Mabry of Shelby and Doris Connor of Ellenboro, NC. She is also survived by sister in law, Margaret Ocie Jones of Great Falls, S.C.; and, Patricia Panther and husband, Bill, of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Neal and Chad Wesson and Adam Sisk of Shelby; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Seth, Jaida and Nathan Wesson, all of Shelby. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home Chapel in Huntersville, NC with Dr. Keith Stevenson officiating The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the N.C. Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC The family wishes to thank loving caregivers Gail Wofford, Pat Gibby, Carolyn Grindstaff, Betty Hartsell and Ponda Lambert for their many years of dedicated care and the healthcare professionals of The Gordon Hospice House.
