John William Wright

John William Wright, 92, of Huntersville, NC passed away on March 25, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, GA on November 29, 1929 to the late John Edward Wright, Sr. and Donie (Wesley) Wright.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Ruth Lavendar; three sisters; and three brothers.

John is survived by his loving wife, Frances Wright; son, John Wright (Marjorie); granddaughter, Patricia Pearson (Chad); grandson, Sonny Meyers (Jessica); grandson, David Wright; granddaughter, Heather Wright; great-grandchildren, Shanda, Cam'ron, Aaliyah and Bailey Meyers, Logan Pearson and Stella Wall, Draven and Jaxx Meyers; and great great-grandchildren, Salem and Lydia Hawkins, Hailey, and Bellamy.

John was U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime member of the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and would travel with the church senior choir. He loved to travel, especially when going on camping trips. John was talented with hands and loved building things. He also enjoyed attending family reunions and spending time with those he loved.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.
