John Franklin Dickson

John Franklin Dickson, 93, of Statesville, NC passed away on January 19, 2025.

John was born in Charlotte, NC on October 18, 1931 to the late Lloyd B. Dickson and Vera Turner Dickson.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife Caroline M. Dickson; two brothers Ben Dickson and Robert Dickson; three sisters Vera Buff, Doris Jeffries, and Joyce Southern; and his granddaughter Lauren Dickson.

John is survived by his five children Debra Link (Johnny), John Dickson Jr. (Eddie), Curtis Dickson (Jean), Cynthia "Cissy" Murdock (Freddie), and Patricia Adelfio (Peter); his sister Ruth Bailey; his eleven grandchildren; and his nineteen great-grandchildren.

John was a US Army Veteran who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was an avid golfer and loved gospel music.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24 at 10:00 AM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC with a service to follow at 11:00 AM.  A burial will take place at Northlake Memorial Gardens following the service.

The family wishes to give special thanks to John's caregivers: Abbie Adams, Crystal Brown, and Elizabeth Austin, of Hospice of Iredell County and Jenlei's. A special thank you to Audrey Murdock who was always there and willing to help take care of Daddy no matter what time of day!
