John Adams

John Ernest Adams, Jr. Huntersville, North Carolina Mr. Adams, 66, of Huntersville, died January 11, 2012. He was born December 23, 1945 in Van Nuys, California. John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rose E Adams of Huntersville, NC; his mother Mary B Adams of Lakewood, CA; 1 brother Gilford Adams, and wife Tess, of Long Beach, CA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John E Adams, Sr. and one sister Peggy A Beaty. He will also be remembered by many friends who John considered his extended family. John worked for 38 years in Career Services Placement in colleges and universities in California, Washington, Indiana, Iowa, Colorado, Illinois and in North Carolina at Davidson College and most recently Central Piedmont Community College. John had the love of giving back to his community and worked for several years helping and serving as a past director for the Ada Jenkins Community Center in Davidson, NC. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Adams will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ada Jenkins Community Center at P O Box 1842 in Davidson, NC 28036.
