Joan Cornell

Joan Cornell, 82, of Huntersville, NC passed away on May 18, 2017.

She was born in Meadville, PA on April 8, 1935 to the late Garold and Helen Reichel.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Reginald C. Cornell; son, Bradley C. Cornell; and brother, Kenneth Reichel.

Joan is survived by her children: Melinda Carniewski (John) of Huntersville, NC; Gary L. Cornell of West Palm Beach, Fl; Cheryl L. Pelham (Pete) of Clewiston, FL; Lois A. Langlois (Edward) of Wellington, FL; Jacqueline D. Campbell of Kershaw, SC; Brian J. Cornell ( Nancy) of Statesville, NC; siblings: James Reichel and his wife Geri; Doris Brown of Saegertown, PA; Clair Reichel of Meadville, PA; Lorene Fosburg of Cambridge Springs, PA; Maurice Reichel of Washington State; Marlene Scull of Lynchburg, VA; many grand children and great-grand grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was the rock of her family and everyone knew they could go to her to make everything okay. She gave unconditional love to all she met and will be dearly missed by all.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Olde Knox Commons where she resided for the last 2 ½ years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
