Jeremy Talbot Scheffer born in Southampton NY on March 22, 1982 and last residing in Huntersville, NC passed away on November 27th as a result of a vehicular accident. Jeremy had a heart of gold and was known for never meeting a stranger. Jeremy considered himself a mix of Yankee-Southern style. He spent his early childhood in Mattituck NY before moving to Forest, VA for most of his elementary & middle school years. After relocating to Welcome NC, he graduated in 2000 from North Davidson HS. He attended East Tennessee State University and had a stint in the Navy in Chicago, IL. He then moved back to NY for several years to revisit where he spent his early childhood and became an avid cyclist. He returned to NC in 2008 to be home again with family and was employed at Spirited Cyclist in Huntersville. Jeremy found joy in whatever he did and brought a passion to his every pursuit. Jeremy is survived by his sister, Jillian Scheffer of Charlotte, his mother and stepfather, Jean and Scott Hoffman of Huntersville, NC, his father, Jack Scheffer of Madison, NC, his aunts and uncles; Patti & Jerry Heaney of TX, Jackie & David Zuhoski of NY, Tom & Ellen Talbot of NY, John & Rebecca Talbot of VA, Mary & Tim Barry of MA, Chris & Barbara Talbot of NY, Alicia & Gary Ferguson of VA, Laura & John Abrahamson of UT, Denise & Tony Antongeorgi of NY, Art & Regina Scheffer of NY, Jim & Donna Scheffer of FL, Keith & Donna Scheffer of FL, Brian & Donna Scheffer of GA, Barbara & Alan Watt of NY and 36 close first cousins. He leaves behind a host of friends from Mattituck NY to Huntersville, NC. His family and friends were his whole world and he will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday December 3, 2010 at St Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Raymer Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC
