He has had fought a good fight, he has finished the race, and he has kept the faith, now it is time to rest. Daniel Tuttle, 30, of Concord, NC passed away peacefully Monday April 18, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family after battling brain cancer. Born March 2, 1981 in Winston-Salem, NC he was the son of Jeffrey Lee Tuttle and Pamela Talley Tuttle.
Daniel was a graduate of Appalachian State University, a UNC Basketball and Nascar Fan, enjoyed fly fishing, spending time with his precious daughter and times with family and friends. He was a member of Mecklenburg Community Church and employed by Cregger Company in plumbing sales.
Memorial Services will be conducted 7:00pm Thursday, April 21 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Essick officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
He leaves with his wife, Jennifer Johnson Tuttle; daughter, Taylor Leigh Cupcake Tuttle; parents, Jeffrey and Pamela Tuttle; sister, Amy Michelle Lowrance and husband, Seth; nephew Eli Lowrance; paternal grandparents, L.A. and Doris Tuttle; uncle Joe and aunt Meg Tuttle; cousins, Kathleen and Clay Tuttle; nephew; father and mother-in-law, Lee and Kathy Johnson; sister-in-law, Melissa Lingerfelt; cousins Amanda and Eric Lingerfelt and special aunt Betty Whiteheart to cherish memories of Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barney and Betty Talley and uncle, Michael Talley.
The family expresses a special heartfelt thank you to Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke Medical Center and Dr. Katherine Peters for the excellent care Daniel received during his declining health. A special thank you to phlebotomist, Patti Westerholm at CMC-NW for taking special care of Daniel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of Daniel may be made to Angels Among Us-Duke University 11BT, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710. Please include the Team Name Daniels Guardian Angel on the face of the check.
