Jeannette Atkinson Causey

Mrs. Jeannette Atkinson Causey, 93, died Friday March 30, 2012 in her residence at The Gardens of Taylor Glen, Concord, NC. Born October 18, 1918 in Madison, Morgan County, Georgia, she was the younger daughter of the late Porter Braswell and Madge Williams Atkinson. She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte for over seventy years. Primarily a homemaker, she also served Duke Power Co., and retired from the Celanese Corp., as member of the accounting team. Funeral services for Mrs. Causey will be conducted beginning at 2:00 PM, Monday April 2, 2012 in the chapel of the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. A private burial will follow graveside at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home just prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Mrs. Causey is survived by her son Addison B. Causey, Jr., and his wife Mary H. Causey of Huntersville, NC; granddaughters, Sarah J. Causey and Kathryn C. Miller, Kathryn's husband G. Anthony Miller and her great-granddaughter, Isabelle Violet Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Addison B. Causey, Sr., her brother, Herman Perry Atkinson and sister, Mary Ruth Atkinson Sinclair. The family wishes to thank the nursing team and staff of The Gardens of Taylor Glen for their professional and loving end-of-life care. Memorials to honor Mrs. Causey may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215 or to the First Baptist Church of Charlotte, NC.
