Jeanette Watson Kirkpatrick Palmer was born in Taylorsville North Carolina on May 12, 1940 to the late Frank Watson and Mildred Starnes Watson.  She died August 24, 2017.  She was proceeded in death by her first husband, Paul Kirkpatrick, her sister Evelyn Watson Hines and her brother Frank Watson, Jr.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Palmer, her 3 daughters, Lisa Rosenbaum, her husband Dewayne, Angie Scavone, her husband Pete, Sonya McGee, her husband Joe.  They gave Jeanette 6 grandchildren, Zach Rosenbaum, Paul McGee, Ashlyn McGee, Claire Scavone, Mason Scavone, and Jared Scavone.  She was also blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Summer Rosenbaum and Brooke Rosenbaum. She is also survived by her twin sister Jean Furr, sister Martha Pinnix and brother Daniel Watson

She gained an additional family when she married Dennis. Tracy Weise, husband Steve, Kelly Beats, husband Chuck, and Michael Palmer, wife Susan.  And 4 additional grandchildren, Shayna Roberston, Mac and Cameron Beats and Lindsey Palmer and one more great grandchild, Jax Robertson.

She was widowed at the age of 32 and raised her 3 daughters single handedly. She showed them what strength and quiet dignity looked like in the face of tragedy.  She married Dennis, who came with his precious dog Allie, in 2002 and she loved nothing better than spoiling and taking care of both of them.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to spend time with each of them and hear their achievements as they grew into their own lives.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother and an ovarian cancer survivor.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Carolinas Medical center, 11th floor Surgical Trauma ICU, for their kindness, caring and true compassion for not only her but her family as well.
