Jean Chapman MacPherson

Eugenia (Jean) Laufane Chapman MacPherson, 98, of Statesville, NC passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016. Jean was born July 13, 1918 in Austin TX to the late Graham Reginald Chapman and Clara Daniel Malone Chapman. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC.

Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Raymond MacPherson; sister, Marcile Chapman Woodard; and brother, Raymond Reginald Chapman.

Jean is survived by her loving family; Michael Gregory MacPherson and wife Julie of Orlando, FL; Donna Vicki Walters and husband John “JB” of Mooresville, NC; Drew Donald MacPherson and wife Christine of Orlando, FL; Father Dwight Ronald MacPherson and wife Toni of Rutland, VT; Craig Kincaid MacPherson and significant other Jennifer of Orlando, FL; Earl “Chip” Raymond MacPherson, Jr. and wife Britt of Fort Lauderdale, FL; ten grandchildren, Nicola MacPherson of Altoona, FL, Heather Walters Welch and husband William; Kimberly Walters Soutullo and husband Bradford of Mooresville, NC; Kevin MacPherson and wife Tomieka of Ludlow, VT; Jennifer MacPherson Blair of Bloomington, IN; Lindsey MacPherson Frost and husband Jeremy; Kelly MacPherson Onafre and husband Joseph all of Orlando, FL, Lauren MacPherson Shultz and husband Craig; Elisabeth MacPherson Duarte and husband Fernando all of Atlanta, GA; nineteen great-grandchildren, Zoe, Fiona, Lexie, John William, Sophie, Jack, Sam, David, Amelia Jean, Kaylyn (Katie), Joshua, Raelin, Lincoln, Ava, Anna, Kyleigh, Caleb, Collette, Connor Fernando.

There will be a service to celebrate the life of Jean on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Grace Covenant Church with Pastor Paul Turbedsky officiating. Jean will be laid to rest, next to her husband Earl, on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Palm Cemetery, Winter Park, FL at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women’s Ministries of Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031.
