Janice Mary Doll Perry

Mrs. Janice Mary Doll Perry, age 76, of Huntersville, NC passed away on Pentecost Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville after a heart attack and massive stroke on May 3rd. She was born on March 31, 1936 in the Wamego City Hospital in Wamego Kansas to Loretta Marie Seitz Doll of Topeka,KS and the late Charles John Doll. Janice was a wonderful and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. She leaves her loving family to cherish her memory. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 53 years, Donald Lee Perry of Huntersville; daughter, Susan E. Perry-Graham and husband Gene of Cornelius; son, David L Perry of Huntersville; granddaughter, Savanna L Perry of Huntersville; sisters, Carol Ann Gooch of Ballwin, MO, Cyrilla Lee of Topeka,KS; five nephews and two nieces She graduated in 1954 from Hayden High, Catholic High School in Topeka. After graduation she was employed at CIT Insurance Company. In 1956, she met her husband who was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka. After their marriage on October 11, 1958 they moved to Don's hometown of Martinsville, Indiana. In 1971, Don who was employed with the Federal Government and working at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, IN was transfered to St Louis MO. From 1972 to the early 1980's, Janice was an executive secretary for American Beauty Macaroni. She retired in Chesterfield, MO from real estate after 14 years service. Janice was President of the River Valley Garden Club, prior to their 2003 relocation from Chesterfield, MO to Huntersville, NC. Don retired in 1989. Janice was a very active, unselfish and gracious lady. She was an expert seamstress, gardener, decorator, cook, life counselor and enjoyed her family immensely. She did everything with a great passion and precision. She was a member of Saint Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC where a Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be conducted 11:00 am. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 with Msgr. Richard Bellow and Deacon Louis Pais officiating. Burial will be at the Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville, Indiana at a later date. The family would like to thank family and friends for your thoughts, prayers and love.
