Janice Carolyn Carter Chandler

Janice Carolyn Carter Chandler, 72, of Stanley, NC passed away Monday, June 27, 2016. Janice was born August 1, 1943 in Reidsville, NC to the late David and Woodsie Hutcherson Carter.   Janice enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time on her back porch looking across Lake Norman. She is survived by her loving family; husband, Raymond Chandler; son, Michael Keith Chandler and daughter-in-law Sonja Austin Chandler of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Michael Austin Chandler and Morgan Keith Chandler; brothers, David Carter, and James Carter; and sister, Susan Blackwood.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, 5926 W. Friendly Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm at New Garden Friends Cemetery, 801 New Garden Rd., Greensboro, NC. In addition, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Unity Presbyterian Church, 8210 Unity Church Rd., Denver, NC with a reception to follow at the church.
