Jana Laurette Comer, a beloved figure known for her unwavering faith and dedication to ministering to women, passed away on September 30, 2023. Jana's impact on the lives of those around her was immeasurable, as she provided solace and support during some of their most challenging times.
Born on January 12, 1960, in Jasper, Texas, Jana grew up with a strong sense of compassion and an unyielding devotion to her beliefs. Throughout her life, she continually placed the needs of others before her own. Jana's selflessness was a testament to her faith in God's plan, which guided every step she took.
One of Jana's greatest joys in life was sharing meals with loved ones. She had an innate love for food and found great delight in cooking and savoring delicious dishes alongside family and friends. These shared moments around the table were a reflection of the warmth and love that radiated from Jana's heart.
In her career, she blazed trails by ushering women through their darkest moments. Jana was a pioneer in her ministry work with women, offering them guidance and support when they needed it most. Her genuine love for everyone she encountered created an environment of trust and understanding. Jana never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those who were lost or struggling.
Jana is survived by her son: Joseph Comer, along with his fiancé Macey. Her love for them was unconditional, and she took great pride in watching them grow into compassionate individuals themselves. She also leaves behind her father Jeff Wilson, brother Jeff Wilson Jr., sister Jackie Campbell, half-brother Brett Meade, half-sisters Deanna Gravelle and Denise Ryan, and her former husband Cline Comer. She was preceded by her mother Bertha Evelyn Wright, her brother Johnny Lynn Wilson and her son Robert Jason Herring.
To honor the remarkable life of Jana Laurette Comer, two services will be held. The first is a Visitation, scheduled for October 7, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Raymer - Kepner in Huntersville, North Carolina. The second service is a Memorial Service, which will take place on the same day at the same venue from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Jana's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, her selfless love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her legacy will continue to inspire others to love selflessly and trust in God's plan for each of their lives.
