James Washington Simpson

Mr. James Washington Simpson, 83, of Charlotte, NC passed away Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Olde Knox Commons. James was born May 29, 1930 in Anderson SC to the late Robert and Ada Simpson. He was a carpenter with Wells Construction and also loved to fish. Along with his parents James was preceded in death by his brother Richard. He is survived by his sons: Chris (Dorita) Simpson, Jason (Melissa) Simpson, ex-wife and friend Betty Burch Simpson, grandchildren: Carresa (Jeremy) Honeycutt, James Avery Simpson, Britaney Michelle Simpson, one niece, one nephew and Jodie (Avery's mother). Funeral services will be held on Monday February 4, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00.
