James Vernon O'Neill

On July 26, 2022, James (Jim) Vernon O'Neill, Jr., passed on to play his beloved game of golf in heaven. He was a longtime member of NorthStone Country Club and spent a lifelong career in the scale business. Jim also was a veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War.
Born on October 17, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to the late James O'Neill and Bernadette Murphy, Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Lynne Peaceman O'Neill; four children, Jimmy (Danielle) O'Neill, Diane (Nelson) Medina, Charlie (Lisa) O'Neill, and Cathy (Joey) Caballero; as well as six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Immediately following the family will attend a private internment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
