James Francis O’Loughlin, 72, of Charlotte, NC passed away on April 13, 2021. He was born on February 4, 1949 to the late William and Helen O’Loughlin.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph O’Loughlin.
He is survived by his daughter, Hayley (Jason) Woodle; grandchildren, Logan and Savannah; Debby O’Loughlin; brother, Brian (Michelle) O’Loughlin; brother, Bill O’Loughlin; sister, Karen O’Loughlin; niece, Katie (Andy) Sears; nephew, Sean (Becky) O’Loughlin; and several great nieces and nephews.
Known as Muldoon to many, Jim was an avid sports fan; from playing golf to rooting for his favorite teams, the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Orioles. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed rides with his friends through the Blue Ridge Mountains, feeling one with the outdoors. Jim lived for moments that turned into a great story. He loved to make people laugh, always ready with a joke or a one liner. He cherished gathering for holidays, making every moment special from playing Santa to hiding Easter eggs, but most of all celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Being a restaurant owner, Jim was known for his delicious food, especially his famous soups. Always the entertainer, Jim sang and played guitar. He enjoyed playing games – cards, crosswords, sudoku, puzzles and riddles.
He loved life, but most of all he loved his family.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home located at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. A service will follow the visitation at 1:00PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.KepnerFH.com
