James Michael Kelly, age 61, of Denver, NC, passed away peacefully at home January 17, 2015. Jim was born December 28, 1953 in Dover, NJ to the late James Bernard Kelly and the late Margaret Joan Kelly of Wharton, NJ. He graduated from Morris Hills High School of Rockaway, NJ, where his love of music led him to marching with the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum Corp. Jim has called NC his home for the past 27 years. He was employed by Watson Electric Company and frequently referred to his job as his hobby, alongside his love for racing. Jim is survived by his wife, Ginger Stensby Kelly, his children Lindsey Kelly of Monroe, NC, Jamie Kelly of Denver, NC, their mother, Gail Kelly of Monroe, NC, Stacie Craddock and Husband Adam Berman of Arlington, VA, Heather Brady and Husband Scott of Concord, NC, Meredith Fletcher and husband Alex of Wilmington, NC, beloved grandchildren, Skyler Kelly, Rylee Kelly, Emma Brady, Joshua Brady, Sophia Fletcher and extended family including his sisters, Joanne Kelly of Wharton, NJ, Jean Florek of Wharton, NJ and brothers Jeff Kelly and wife Alison of Landing, NJ and Jack Kelly and wife Charlene of Dover, NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC, with a memorial service on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 2 pm. at St. Peter By-The-Lake Episcopal Church, 8433 Fairfield Forest Road, Denver, NC 28037.
