James "Jimmy" Luther McKellar

James “Jimmy” Luther McKellar, Sr., 73, passed away on August 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 17, 1947 in Red Springs, NC to the late, James and Elsie McKellar.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother David William McKellar.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sue McKellar; sons, James Luther (Stefanie) McKellar, Jr. of Lumberton, NC, Bradley Evan(Catherine) McKellar of Kennesaw, GA, Ethan Brock McKellar of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren, Jase McKellar, Jenna McKellar, and Aidan McKellar;  brother, Mark Steven (Melanie) McKellar;  sister, Susan McKellar (Michael) Dellay;  father-in-law and mother-in-law, J. Ronald and Betty Hester of Bladenboro, NC; sister-in-law Ronda (Allen) Dezso of Wallace, NC; and brother-in-law Alan (Donna) Hester if Lumberton, NC.  .

Jimmy enjoyed photography, bird watching, the Atlanta Braves, and the UNC Tarheels.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:30PM at Red Springs Presbyterian located at 115 N Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377. A memorial service will follow at 2:30PM at Red Springs Presbyterian.
