James L. Furlow (Jim) of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on June 14, 2023.
Jim was born in Centerville, Ohio on December 3, 1968.
After graduating from Centerville High School in 1987, Jim immediately joined the US Air Force where he was a Staff Sergeant Special Operations Helicopter Crew Chief for 10 years. He then spent the next 10 years in the Army National Guard as a Helicopter Crew Chief/Master Gunner. He served his country proudly for 20 years.
He loved boating, fishing and lived his life on the lake or ocean. He was an excellent captain and navigator.
He also had a love for anything aviation. Jim worked as a Project Engineer in the paper and packaging industry where he enjoyed helping others.
Jim is survived by his wife, Regina Furlow (Gina), whom he loved and adored; his children whom he was very proud of, his son, Preston Furlow of Centerville, OH, and two stepchildren, daughter, Delaney Stoltz of Mooresville, NC, and son, Christian Stoltz of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Kathryn Furlow Albers of Cincinnati, OH; and nephew, Wyatt E. Albers of Cincinnati OH. Jim has too many friends to mention by name, and a slew of military brothers and sisters that will all miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd. Huntersville, NC. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 pm. The memorial service will be livestreamed and can be viewed below or by clicking LIVESTREAM.
