James Hinchey

James (Jim) Hinchey, age 68, of Cornelius, North Carolina, died October 20, 2012. He was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina on August 28, 1944 to Allen Drewery Hinchey, Sr. and Permelia Louise Wilson. In addition to his parents, three brothers and one sister, he was preceded in death by his son Brian Keith Hinchey. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Dietsch Hinchey, sister Alice Hinchey, daughter Tiffany Dawn Hinchey, grandson Brenden Keith Hinchey, and beloved dog Rose. He will be fondly remembered by his wife's family who he loved dearly and considered as his family. Jim had to start working at a very young age and continued that work ethic throughout his life. He began working at Philip Morris in Richmond, Virginia then was transferred to the facility in Concord, NC where he retired after 36 years in manufacturing supervision. A memorial service will be held at Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Drive in Cornelius, NC on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community in Christ Lutheran Church or The Humane Society, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte NC 28203.
