James Randolph Ervin

James "Randy" Randolph Ervin, 77, of Charlotte, NC passed away Tuesday September 10, 2013. Randy was born April 5, 1936 in Charlotte, NC to the late Joseph and Christine Keziah Ervin. He was a truck driver with Estes Express Lines for many years. Randy was a member and deacon at the Cedars of Lebanon Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, racing, horses and mules but most of all loved to be with his family. Along with his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his grandson "Little Randy", three brothers, Nelson, Joseph and Gene. Randy is survived by his loving wife Mary Amberson Ervin, sons; Ray Ervin, Joe (Cindy) Ervin, Jerry ( Tammy) Ervin, Sr., grandchildren; Joanna, Ashley, Jennifer, Jerry Jr. Ervin, brother; John Ervin, sister; Ethel Barnett, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday September 14, 2013 at the Cedars of Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. James Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Ritch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
