James Robert Correll

   James Robert Correll, 83 of Davidson passed away on November 20, 2015 in Charlotte, NC.  He was born in Winston Salem, NC on December 15, 1931 to the late Walter August Correll and Bertha Mosley Correll.  Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by his two brothers.

  James is survived by his loving wife Linda Correll; daughter, Melanie Correll Twigg and husband Kevin Twigg and their sons Tanner and Wesley Twigg; son, Mark Mosley Correll and his wife Dr. Carolyn Crowley Correll and their children, Morgan Correll, Madison Correll, Kathryn and  Sam Crowley; son, James Robert ( Robb) Correll, Jr. and his wife Judith Correll and their children, Ari Correll and Keria Correll Rodriquez Gomez  and her husband Kevin; brother-in-law, Glenn Roinson and his wife Martha, John Robinson and wife Janet, sister in law Deborah Morse and husband Drew; and 1 niece, 4 nephews, 3 great nieces, 5 great nephews and one great-great niece.

  James was a member of the Charlotte Racket Club North and Lake Norman Sailing club. Having played all sports at Cornelius high school he retained his competitive spirit playing golf, tennis and sailing!
