Jackie G. Kerley

Jackie Garfield Kerley, 77, of Cornelius passed away November 7, 2017 at his home.  Jackie was born in Rowan County on March 10, 1940 to the late Lloyd and Jessie Kerley.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading his bible, listening to gospel music, and working on adult coloring books. 

In addition to his parents, Jackie is preceded in death by his daughter Lisa McPherson, sister; Katherine Smith, and brother; Bill Deese.

Jackie is survived by his loving wife; Martha, daughter; Pam Sheppard (Charlie), grandchildren; Nathan Glasser, Tiffany Eggers, Cody Eggers and Jacob McPherson, sisters; Elizabeth Brackett, Joann Brown, Deloris Holden, brothers; Kenneth Kerley and Herman Kerley and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held Friday November 10, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Mount Mourne Church of God.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 – 12:30 pm. 

Donations may be made to Mount Mourne Church of God (PO Box 468, Mount Mourne, NC 28123) in honor of Jackie Kerley.
