Jack Heverly

Jack J. Heverly, 60, of Denver, NC, passed away of brain cancer on Sunday September 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1955 in Johnstown, PA to Ronald G. and Agnes M. Heverly. Jack was the paternal grandson of Paul and Alice (Johnson) Heverly of St. Michael, PA and the maternal grandson of Frank and Catherine (Parks) Amis of Beaverdale, PA. He is predeceased by his grandparents, his father, uncles Frank Stravinsky and Richard Davis, Sr. of St. Michael, PA, Jack Heverly of Johnstown, PA and Ed Oshaben of Bellaire, MI. He was also predeceased by a cousin, Richard Davis, Jr. of Johnstown, PA. Jack is survived by his mother Agnes (Philadelphia), brother, Ronald G. Heverly, Jr. (Joanne) of Chalfont, PA and brother, Paul F. Heverly (Kimberly) of Newtown, PA. He is survived by aunts, Esther Davis, Edith Heverly, Theresa Stravinsky, Patricia Oshaben, and many nieces and nephews. Jack graduated from Illinois State University in 1977 and pursued a career in power plant construction. He traveled throughout the United States and worked a two year assignment in West Africa. Jack cherished the many friendships he established over his thirty-four years of power plant work and was happy spending time with his local friends, family and his beloved canines, Lucy & Chloe. There will be no visitation or funeral. A private inurnment service at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum will be held at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 Salisbury Rd, Midlothian, VA 23113 or St. Michael Catholic Church, 751 Locust St., St. Michael, PA 15951 or Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
